Planning Boston GreenFest
Boston GreenFest 2014 is presented by the Foundation for a Green Future, Inc. Our goal is to educate and empower people to create a more sustainable, healthier world. We are actively building an interconnected, ever expanding network, with a diverse audience, throughout our neighborhoods, city and region. From business to nonprofit, neighborhood association to academic institution, BostonGreenFest spans age, culture and industry.
This year the emphasis of Boston GreenFest is on envisioning our future. We are featuring innovations and information that will educate festival-goers about ways to create a bright future for all of us. The Boston GreenFest team has new plans brewing for 2014 - come and be part of it!
Planning Boston GreenFest is a fantastic challenge. It requires lots of ideas, creativity, motivation and willingness to work independently and in teams.
What's missing from this table? You!
We are from all walks of life, young and old, a blend of cultures and a blend of backgrounds. There are architects, community organizers, artists, poets, engineers, musicians, social workers, landscapers, sociologists, carpenters and YOU!
Our motto is, come when you can, leave when you need. Also, know that much work gets done by email, telephone and small action team meetings, so if you cannot make it to a planning meeting, please don't let it be a deterrent.
Currently, our planning team is divided into four main areas: OUTREACH, SITE/ART/GREENING, ENTERTAINMENT, and EDUCATION.
