On August 13, 2009 from 10 am to 2 pm at the State House’s Grand Staircase we will host a Green Town Meeting. Community members, along with political, nonprofit, and business leaders, will come together to put forward ideas for the GreenFest Manifest, a document that will capture the spirit of the moment we are facing at this time and the steps we can take over the next five years to create the world we seek.

GreenFest Manifest

A week later, the GreenFest Manifest will be read at the Kick-Off Concert for Boston GreenFest 2009, on Thursday, August 20th, and Boston GreenFest participants will have the opportunity to sign their name and commit themselves to the goals contained within it. The document will then be presented to local, state, and national leaders for their signatures, and then passed along to global leaders for the international climate summit in Copenhagen, Denmark in December 2009.
