Volunteer!
There are many opportunities to volunteer prior to and at Boston GreenFest 2012. We are planning our big event now and can use writers to help with feature articles, blogs and social media. We will need people for the following missions: GreenGuides to direct people around the site. GreenGuides Interpreters to direct people around the site and when needed help families who are limited in English - all languages welcome, but particularly Spanish, Haitian Creole, Chinese, Vietnamese, Cape Verdean Creole.. RecycleGuides to thank people for recycling and be sure that trash is not mixed with recycling. Green Managers to help in each area of the festival, particularly with the exhibitors and vendors, troubleshoot, relay messages and provide assistance to those who need it. Information Desk and Exhibitor Sign-in Movers and Shakers to set up and break down the site. Stage Hands to help with the needs of our three performance areas and fashion show. EcoKids Helpers to engage in the kids' activities - help with keeping the kids involved and learning - scavenger hunts, recycled art projects, safety for the inflatables, etc. EcoArt Assistants to help with art installations and workshops. EcoPoetry Assistants to help with poetry, banners and workshops. EcoCyclists to hop on a bike at the EcoStage or GreenSoul Stage if it becomes vacant and we need to maintain pedal power! |
