I'm Maureen, Leading Lady here at I Love My Nighty. After a lifetime of wearing frumpy pajamas during the long, cold New England winters, I knew there had to be something better than sweats and oversized t-shirts for a lovely lady like myself to lounge in, even on the coldest of nights. I have always loved nightgowns but they tend to be too slinky or too granny, so there weren't many choices for the winter. I had in mind a couple of designs that were ideal for me and after searching the internet high and low and coming up with nothing, I decided to take matters into my own hands.
I imagined an entire collection of loungewear and sleepwear that would solve the problem of wanting to be comfortable and stylish at the same time. I then went to work learning the ins and outs of being a designer and spent over two years bringing this business to life.
I Love My Nighty solves the frump slump: the pervasive fashion faux pas of wearing unattractive clothes in the confines of home, because that's all that feels comfortable. Our designs are both feminine and flexible, so now you can be cozy and stylish in clothing designed for relaxing, focusing on yourself and preparing for your beauty rest.
Additionally, activewear has become the go-to choice for comfort, but even activewear needs some downtime! Our lovely loungewear sets the gold standard for evening attire. Changing into your luxuriously soft nighty will help you transition from go-go-go all day, to me-time in the evening.
I Love My Nighty isn't about fashion or a trend. What started as a way to fulfill a need for something I felt was missing in the sleepwear category, has now became a starting point for a conversation about women's health– how we feel, how we look, and how we treat ourselves. It's created an opportunity to educate women and girls about the importance of health and wellness, not only for ourselves but for our sisters across the globe and the greatest female of all– Mother Earth!
I'm based in Somerville, MA and have been very involved in environmental activism. I knew my loungewear had to stand out from other brands by having high sustainability standards like using natural and eco-friendly fibers and be made in the USA. I've selected the softest fabrics on Earth and have been working tirelessly to create clothing for women of all shapes and sizes.
