Ayesha Barenblat is a Labour Rights Advocate building a #wearyourvalues Movement.
She is the Founder and CEO of Remake and is passionate about where our clothes come from, who made them and what their lives are like. She has spent the last decade working with brands, retailers, governments, and civil society organizations around the world to improve the lives of the women who make our fashion.
Today there is a long unhappy story of how our fashion is made and where it ends up. she wants us to reimagine that story. She founded Remake because she truly believes that fashion can be a force for good. How we buy is how we vote. Cheap disposable clothes exploits her, and keeps her trapped in a cycle of poverty. Slow fashion is a way to lift her out of poverty. How will you vote?
