Tim Lasker is the President and Business Manager of OPEIU Local 453 at the MBTA. The executive union is the second largest union at the MBTA and has members in 34 different departments at the “T”. He is on leave from his position as Sustainability Specialist where he has worked on numerous projects from water conservation to waste management. While in the position he worked with MassRecycle and other organizations to implement the recycling program on the MBTA Red Line. Mr. Lasker has participated in a number of Boston GreenFest panels dealing with Transportation in which he discussed its effect on the environment and the importance of transportation equity. He has worked with City Councilor Michelle Wu in advocating a free transportation system.
