Jenny will perform as part of the multifaceted production: Synchronicity.
I am a singer, tap dancer, teacher, and director. Improvisation is essential to who I am and what I do. At the Gallatin School of Individualized Study, I created the major: "Navigating Chaos and Structure: In Pursuit of Freedom and Art." The belief that boundaries are manmade—and therefore not inevitable—informs everything that I do. I went on to receive my Masters from the Contemporary Improvisation Department at New England Conservatory.
Tap dance and jazz share a rich history—as a jazz singer and tap dancer, I strive to celebrate the relationship between these two forms. I sing standards and original compositions, take vocal solos and tap solos, trade between voice and tap, and sing and dance in unison. I also tap dance as an accompanist, laying down the groove for other band members.
I believe that the arts are for everyone. My personal mission is to realize that belief by bringing tap dance, music, yoga, and immersive theatre as far and wide as possible. Chaos Theory is an immersive theatre experience; I facilitate collaboration with community members to create shows integrating storytelling, music, and dance. Tap for Joy is an accessible tap dance program for all ages and all skill levels: it’s hard to be unhappy while you tap. I am also a Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher. I would love to bring tap dance, music, and yoga to your organization!
